A climbing vine, growing 6m plus, producing small green very sweet edible fruits about the size of a large grape, in the autumn. Superior pollination to the self fertile forms, a 7 year old male and female provided me over 5kg of fruit.
Pollination: requires a pollinator (so sold as a pair of male + female plants)
Harvest time: October
Grown as: Container (9cm)
Hardiness: Very hardy
Aspect: To climb up through a small tree or large bush. They do well here at the Forest Garden Falmouth at the base of Elaeagnus umbellata. With their self clinging tendrils using the tree as a support to reach up to the sunshine to aid flowering and fruiting.
