A large bush with its own interesting unique character, in habit, often a specimen found in the garden of an old Vicarage. A very reliable cropper of russet brown fruit, ready for eating post bletting in November. Can be eaten raw, or made into to a jelly, fruit leather, or a wine. Often requires permanent staking.
