Course Feedback

Having completed the ‘Creating an Edible Forest Garden’ course, I happily came away feeling that I had been immersed into a new world of forest gardening. The leafy surroundings were an inspiring backdrop to understanding the concepts involved in working with and supporting nature’s ecosystems in a productive and conscious way. The delicate balance between comprehensive information and outdoors exploration made the experience feel not only valuable but also achievable. The opportunity to access Simon’s considerable knowledge was plentiful as he skilfully answered our many questions making the sessions even more pertinent and relevant to us new forest gardeners!- and the tasting was also delicious!

“Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the course this weekend and I learnt an awful lot even though I’m a professional gardener. It was brilliant to see all of the principles of forest gardening in action and working in reality and to be able to taste some of it! I’ve been to Martin Crawford’s garden and it’s very different to yours which is also interesting in terms of variety. I think the project you’ve got going is a real inspiration. Great to meet some likeminded people too.

Thanks and hopefully see you again soon.”

“I really found this course fascinating and inspiring because of what you can actually do if you observe and work with nature,  and the amount of symbiosis between plants and other organisms. It is about supporting nature and ourselves in a rapidly changing world. Informal and interactive presentation in lovely surroundings. Supportive and relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend this for amateurs and professionals alike. And you get a booklet at the end.”
